Work Therapy is a structured program which provides clients a work experience to develop and/or enhance work skills and abilities and/or to build upon past work experiences. Work sites and work readiness classes offer opportunities for individuals to develop and practice basic work skills, such as, attention to task, task completion, arriving on time, and being appropriately groomed and dressed. Work therapy provides interaction, cooperation, and problem solving skills. The overall goal for work therapy is to allow individuals to be as independent as possible. |
