The Tuberculosis Unit (TB), is operated in cooperation with the NC Division of Public Health.  Admission is by referral from the state's TB program.  Patients are voluntarily admitted and agree to be compliant with therapy until they become noninfectious and can be safely discharged back to the community.  Bed capacity is two.
