Adult Acute Admissions provides care for patients between the ages of 18 and 60. This unit provides a safe and secure environment to those consumers who are admitted in crisis and with many types of mental illness.  It combines medication along with individual and group treatment to stabilize consumers' symptoms and educate them about their illness.  As this is a short term unit, we encourage family and community involvement to assist with transition back to the community.  We also encourage consumers to continue treatment after discharge and arrange aftercare appointments to assist with follow-up sessions in their local communities.
