The hospital maintains a Staff Development Department which is responsible for the conduct of orientation and in-service training functions for all departments and service areas. It offers a variety of classes including: supervisory/management related, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), North Carolina Interventions (NCI), safety classes, and a variety of multi-disciplinary related classes.
The hospital is affiliated with the Brody School of
Medicine--East Carolina University, several nursing schools, area community
colleges and an assortment of other schools and departments in colleges and
universities across North Carolina and in adjacent states. The hospital is
accredited and grants credit for continuing education through the Staff
Development Department. |
