Cherry Hospital is a 284-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital serving the citizens of 33 eastern North Carolina counties. We are operated by the state of North Carolina, the Department of Health and Human Services.

Our Mission is to provide quality inpatient psychiatric services for the citizens of eastern North Carolina.

Our Philosophy is that, as a human service organization, anything and everything done within the hospital shall be done for the purpose of improving the quality of service to our customers.

Our Vision is that, through a cooperative working relationship with our community resources and consumers, we will strive to ensure that each patient receives maximum psychiatric and therapeutic services to the extent of his/her individual needs.
